Creativity. What a great concept. Creativity is such a broad term. Creativity is a phenomenon whereby something new and somehow valuable is formed. The created item may be intangible, such as an idea, a scientific theory, musical composition or even a joke. The best part about utilizing this theme, is the fact that it truly is subjective to the person describing or manifesting that creativity. I really enjoyed stepping into my new role as mixtape curator, with this first installment under my belt. Priding myself on creativity and artistry, I try not to pigeon hole myself into one sound. However, being a product of my environment, you can tell I am heavily influenced by that East Coast "boom bap" sound. Several styles permeate the blanket East Coast gentrification of this mixtape. I like to think I have a knack for the grimey beats, Gangsta Rap, and Jazz inspired production. As such, I think we did a great job pairing up the guests accordingly. With all that said, I hope you enjoy listening to this tape equally as much as I did when making it. A strong shout out to all those who contributed! We thank you for your efforts!
